“Arctica” Lime Colour is a ready-to-use lime colour made of
- Hydrated-
- Slaked-
- Gas-roasted-
- Sulphur-free
- Finest ground fragmentary lime (CaO), without chemicals or organic additives
- white marble flour, water, titanium dioxide, natural carbohydrates, cellulose and a small percentage of natural oil.
Fields of Application:
„Arctica“ lime color is suitable for creating high-quality coatings on almost all dry, and porous surfaces. Indoor uses of „Arctica“ lime color include wall and ceiling painting, whilst doubling as
a facade color for outdoor use. „Arctica“ lime color is smear proof, economical, easy to use and tension free.
Applicability:
- Solid mineral plasters and paints, plasterboards, appropriate wallpapers, lime gypsum plaster, lime concrete plasters and concrete surfaces (keep an eye open for oil residues).
- Solid colour coatings and solid emulsion paints.
- All surfaces must be solid, clean, and dry.
Tip:
- Spots and stains on underlying surfaces steaming from nicotin, diverse pigmentation and fireplace smoke, can be painted over and allowed to dry. If necessary, repeat this procedure.
- “Al fresco”, wet on wet application is also possible.
- Not suitable for oil-based surfaces.
- Can result in a “sinter-skin”, or limestone typical shine on humid and dense surfaces. Sinter-skin can be removed with a steel-brush or acidic concentration.
- Surface defects can be evened out with Dullinger fine or course lime putty filler.
- We recommend pre-coating with Dullinger “Storico-Primero” on extremely smooth surfaces.
