Lime Putty (Ca(OH)2) made of

  • Finely ground fragmentary lime (CaO), without chemicals or organic additives

Applicability:

For the production of high-quality plaster and masonry mortar. Suitable as a basic or first coating on fresh lime plasters, to accelerate the hardening surface. Also suitable as a whitewash for stables, basements and garages.

Mortar and plasters that use lime putty as a bonding agent, fossilize by absorbing carbon dioxide from the air; this process makes them insoluble in water and therefore very durable. This fossilization process is accelerated by moisture.

Residenzplatz Salzburg (2007)

The restoration of the façade of the “Residenzplatz Salzburg”, was done with painters lime in 2007.
The cloudy appearance is typical of a limestone façade, and rejuvenates the building's appearance.


This beautiful house, featuring a traditional design, was built in Kitzbühl in 2007.
